Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortals ever dared to dream before;
But the silence was unbroken, and the stillness gave no token, And the only word there spoken was the whispered work, “Lenore!”
This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, “Lenore!”—
Merely this and nothing more.
(Edgar Allan Poe, from "The Raven")

…For some minutes it puffed away without speaking, but at last it unfolded its arms, took the hookah out of its mouth again, and said, “So you think you’ve changed, do you?”…(Lewis Carroll, from “Alice in Wonderland”)
This Photoshop layer cake is a variation of my beginning PS class midterm. I enjoyed mutating my boyfriend into the caterpillar a little too much, I think.
