JEEPERS CREEPERS... WHERE'D YOU GET THOSE PEEPERS?

Ever need an extra set of eyes? Guaranteed you can dig some up somewhere, but a custom set is ever so much more useful and hopefully more reliable, without those pesky curses or unwanted psychic visions into the netherworld.

The Eyes Have it!

(Make 2)

G Hook
Worsted Weight Yarn
Felt pieces in black, your chosen iris color & red OR
Embroidery floss in black, your chosen iris color & red
Note: Do not join rounds with sl st. Mark beginning of each round to keep track. If working with felt you will need matching thread or liquid stitch.

2sctog- two single crochet together (decrease)
ch- chain
mr- magic ring
sc- single crochet
sl st- slip stitch
st- stitch

Round 1: 6 sc in mr. (6 sc)
Round 2: 2 sc in each st around. (12 sc)
Round 3: 1 sc in each st around. (12 sc)

Stop here and weave in beginning strand. Either embroider or sew/glue on your felt to create the iris and pupil.

Round 4-5: 1 sc in each st around. (12 sc)

Stuff eyeball.

Round 6: 2sctog around. (6 sc)
Round 7: 1 sc in each st around. (6 sc)

End off. Using the end strand weave through opening and pull closed. Weave in end.

At this point you can call your eyeball done, but for those of you who crave a little more realism you can take the time to embroider or glue on the veins and nerve endings at the back of the eyeball. Tail ends of red embroidery thread can be knotted and left hanging.

Coming soon...

POOR YORRICK!
