Since I will soon be an auntie (for the 6th time) I crocheted a few new do-dads for the new babe's hand-me-down mobile to make it his own. Two monkey heads (yeah, it's a tad creepy, but so is auntie) and two bananas swivel around a tiny monkey that hangs from his tail in the middle.
Next up... I actually make peace with my sewing machine and crank out the middle section of my king size quilt. This is an awesome free pattern (http://quilting.about.com/od/quiltpatternsprojects/ig/Free-Quilt-Patterns/Through-the-Windows-Quilt.htm) that I reworked to be a bigger size.
And now my favorite project... Venetian Carnival Masks!
The background is this: My sister and her husband will be attending a Venetian Carnival themed party and are planning on going as the sun and moon. I couldn't pass up the chance to piddle around with miniscule rhinestones, glitter wire and some seriously toxic-smelling glue (as you can see.)
The Moon.
I'll leave you with that for now.
