Disentombment of the Month

December’s disentombment has arrived early. You must have been very good this year.

A search through our various stashes, piles, and catacombs reveals many timeworn tokens of our artistic pasts. Some are pretty good, some are agonizingly bad, and some are just plain freaky! Still, we can't help but find amusement in their exhumation.

Death of Salad Man

Welcome to Photoshop 101. A time before Quickmask, filters, and color correction. A chapter introducing the concept of layers by organizing pictures of fruit and vegetables into a face. “Salad Man”.

Fellow computer art school alums, you may remember this!

Merely rearranging given elements was a bit too stifling for me, so I tried to make things a little more interesting. In the end it had to be the “Death of Salad Man”, which I enthusiastically displayed as my final for that chapter.

Having time to kill, I also created “Angry Chef”:

and “Melon Brando” (who was never completely finished):

A forewarning; you will be seeing many more of my old Photoshop projects, as they are so terrible. Funny. Terribly funny.
