Only non X-mas stuff allowed from now on, so the pickin's are slim...
This Doris Chan pattern is worth buying the whole digital edition of Crochet! it was published in. Doris' Midnight Lace pattern was not only fast and completely comprehensive, but beautiful and nicely nicely fitted. I should really stop being so surprised.
And another favorite pattern author of mine comes through yet again. Robin Chachula's Spider Shrug is so beautiful. This 3/4 sleeve shrug was made with a cotton/bamboo yarn for the summer months, but I definitely see a long sleeve version in the near future.
Lastly, here are a couple of sweeties made for my nephew's upcoming birthday. He loves his pit bull pals at home so I made him some crib-friendly versions. Hopefully less licking will be involved this way.
Pretty, but I used worsted weight cotton and even as a knee length skirt it's heavy enough to keep dragging the damned thing off my hips. File this pattern for later, 'cause I'm not ready to do that again for a while...
Instead I made a fool-proof skirt out of some truly kick-ass fabric, some leftover hem tape and a bit of elastic. I guess sometimes you do have to get out the sewing machine to make clothing.
