FANTABULOUS HALLOWEEN BLOG POST

It's All Hallow's Eve and since I've been literally working on things until the 11th hour my post is also therefore left until the 11th hour...

So what's Halloween without a few decorations? These are my little Halloween ornaments. Say hello to my Alien and Zombie creations.

Here's the Grim Reaper with his good associate Edgar. Poe, that is.

No Halloween shindig would be complete without the Draculas on the guest list.

Another important couple? The Frankensteins. Okay, I know, technically Frankenstein was only Doctor Frankenstein. The poor "Monster" never did get a proper name.

And here's Ramses. Nice guy, for a mummy.

Out of order, but whatever. Here's my best version of a Pachycephelosaurus. My neice's costume requests are getting a tad complicated.

Recycled from her T-Rex costume. Note the pillowcase body. Kind of phoning it in a bit.

Disturbed spirits? Nah, just cheesecloth and starch over a some mannequin parts.

I do love my carving job on the bones, but painting them did NOT turn out how I pictured...

My repainting of my plywood gravestones DID turn out pretty good, though.

This year I went for real people only. It was actually pretty challenging to come up with so many!

Two (possibly) evil ladies... What're the odds that they're both named Elizabeth?

One of my favorite historical impalers! Vlad's a long-time friend.

Looks like Lovecraft's still attracting an odd crowd- even in death. (Cthulhu puts in an impromptu appearance.)

Ah, Poe. What can I say? You can see who warranted the only weather-proof bouquet in MY cemetery.

And where would Poe be without his steadfast Raven? Well this year he'll have to settle for something more crow-sized.

I'm pretty proud of this one! Shaped and duct-taped foam with wire, covered in black plastic bags!

Ouch!

Good as time as any to show off my Halloween headgear. Did you know that you could color a white fake-flower orange with a sharpie? Well now you know.

And the grand finale!! My front door/orifice. Lots of plastic tablecloths, foam and duct tape. Lots and LOTS of duct tape.

Foam bones in situ. Not too bad...

Funny zombie pumpkin.

This is my Its-A-Skull-Not-An-Alien pumpkin.

And a good old flaming-eyed Jack.

So I lied. THIS is the grand finale... Happy Halloween!!! Mmmm BRAAAIIINNS!!!!!!
