Okay, let's get this stuff outta the way so I can post something far better once I get my house decorations in order... Because if you didn't know it's ALMOST HALLOWEEN!!

God, I can't tell you how long ago I started this sweater, but it had to be sometime before summer finally kicked in. It was totally neglected for months until the first day below 60 degrees, probably some time in September when I started yearning for cold-weather clothes.

Still haven't worn it yet.
Comfi Cardi by Robyn Chachula. I think I used something a bit bulkier than called for so I'm hoping it doesn't look like I'm wearing a blanket when it's finally cold enough to pull it out of my closet!

Here's a look at one of my first serious attempts with my air brush. I can not claim any credit for the cute ideas, only for the over-enthusiastic soaking I gave my stencils with paint. Hmm, not so smart on a porous surface like cloth with nice wet paint. In other words, I had a bit of a problem with my stencils bleeding like mad. You live you learn.

Not too terribly shabby. Besides, they're for toddlers so who's going to notice a few mistakes when we all know there's going to be a layer of food/dirt/general grime covering the entire shirt within about 3.2 seconds of the kid donning said shirt?

I did get a slightly better result with a shirt for my brother. Totally geeky. I'm not quite sure who's the bigger geek between the two of us.

I hope my geekyness wasn't out of line on this one, but some of my paint was. Whoops. It's the thought that counts, right?

Here's a direct result of watching a marathon of
Project Runway. Well, I have a dressmaker's dummy and a sewing machine... I should be able to do this... And even if it wouldn't pass muster on the runway I'm pretty satisfied.

Please peer upon these pretty pleats! Perilous perhaps, but positively perfect! (Perfect for someone who groans at the thought of sewing a hem and shudders when she has to pin something!)

This was a project of necessity. Key-holders for work so the girls could remember to cart around a set of keys when they left their desks. Trying to make an annoying security precaution at least somewhat cute...

Of course after that forced journey through my button and bead stash I got cracking on some even cuter bracelets for friends and family. Here's one for a friend's birthday...

I wanted it for myself.

And one for my sister's birthday. I really liked this one too.

Sorry, you have to see both 'sides'.

So of course I had to make one for myself. This color palette is a little more my style.

Such seriously easy bracelets to make. Just buttons with a clear, stretchy cord run through two holes on each button.
Housekeeping is done. I'm back to painting eyeballs and carving teeth... Until the next post,
