OMG, IT'S STILL HERE!

Didn't think that my blog would still be around- I've been a mite busy (and lazy) and so nothin's gettin' posted. Actually had to go back through my closet to see what I'd done since the last post. Whenever that was.

Not knowing which one I actually did first I'll give it up without semblance of order:

I'll call this the anti-cheer skirt. I do love the cool color changes in this yarn, which of course I can't remember the name of. Something German, I think.
Although you can't tell it those buttons are purple shell. Very proud to find something I could use in my existing button collection.

This next one is the Winter Mimosa Shrug:

I absolutely love this one.
This is now officially one of my favorite shrugs. And I own quite a few.

After the shrug I believe I was getting ready for summer weather so I tried my hand at the China Doll pattern again with cotton-elastic yarn:
I really want this pattern to work, but I keep using the wrong yarn. If I ever try this for a 3rd time I'll use a thinner yarn with more drape...

I also broke down and decided to make my own black pencil dress since I could not find the 'perfect' black dress at a reasonable price ($200 is NOT a reasonable price!) Finally found a good pattern- Burda 8133 that I could work with.

Please join me in being impressed. I'm not much of a seamstress, and unfortunately after a wash it shows on the inside. My decision to not reinforce the seams with zig-zags might have been a bad idea. If I wasn't so lazy I'd go back and do just that.
Still, I love this dress!

Finally, after the weather deciding that summer was on indefinite hold in Seattle I decided to work on a warmer sweater:
Comfy Cardi. Don't know how comfy it is, though. After getting the body and sleeves done the weather FINALLY turned for the better and I'm just not into crocheting merino wool in the heat. This one will probably sit until the fall unless I get really bored.

Instead I'm working on a nice summer cardigan by Doris Chan. Check it out here, cause I probably won't post a pic until Christmas. Just sayin'.
