Next up a couple of hats I made for a coworker's baby shower. The first one is pretty traditional and cute.

Yes, quite traditional.

This one is really just for nursing. You'll see why in a mo...

BOOBY!! Believe me it looks hilarious if the baby wears it while nursing.
On a totally different note I've been spending my weekends pretending I'm a seamstress! No patterns because they're too expensive and too fussy. Just some fabric, my dress-maker's dummy and a sewing machine.

First attempt: a tan pencil skirt.

Check out the zipper- I only had to put it in once! A new record for me.

Surprise! A fun, inverted kick-pleat in the back! A tad bulky while sitting, but uber cute while walking.

This was my second project. Really cool black lace fabric (that thankfully didn't need a hem) and some wild B&W print. I totally love this with my big black boots!

Not really caring that the B&W fabric is sheet material. Too freaking cute!

And finally a quick shrug from some totally interesting shirred material.

I didn't even have to bother with hems. It looks decent without and my machine would probably ruin it if I tried.

That's it for now. Until I finish my latest project in a couple days. But that probably won't be posted for another three months the way things have been going!
