Three months and one crashed hard-drive later I'm back for an update...
I'm calling this one my Preppy Vest, but I really got the pattern from Gu'Chet Designs on Ravelry here.
Very innovative pattern. Totally refreshing to find some new and interesting stitches.
This one turned out so much better than I could have hoped. The pattern is by my favorite crochet pattern master Doris Chan. Everything I've ever made of hers has been absolutely perfect (unless I screwed it up by using some hideous yarn!)

Obviously I extended the length from the original pattern and I definitely didn't stick with a sweet and dreamy white...

After I finished crocheting the sweater I dyed it using food coloring and citric acid. Although I wanted to do a dip dye I just didn't have enough food coloring, or a big enough pot to try it with so I tried to fake it. Not to shabby!

A random project I took on after a trip to the craft store. I found rinky-dink craft project kit for a kid's size guitar strap and decided to make part of it into a choker.

The lattice work was cut with an X-acto blade and then the beads were sewn on afterwards.

For the closure I opted to use grommets and ribbon. It's such a wide choker it really begs for an up-do so no ugly closures in back!
Blogger is starting to freak out as I'm uploading images so the March File Dump shall continue... soon!
